Grooming Policy

Booking

You can book online any time, by phone or at the front desk. Please make one booking per pet and choose the size that matches your dog’s weight. Online bookings are confirmed by email straight away, and we send a reminder the day before.

Vaccinations

Every pet must be current on vaccinations, with proof from a veterinarian. Dogs: rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. Cats: rabies and FVRCP. Puppies may visit after their second round of puppy vaccines. We can’t groom pets without proof, and will reschedule the appointment.

Cancellations and no-shows

Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment, using the link in your confirmation email or by calling us. Late cancellations and no-shows may be charged a $25 fee, and after two no-shows we may ask for a deposit to book.

Late arrivals

If you’re more than 15 minutes late, we may need to shorten the service or move you to the next available time, so other pets aren’t kept waiting. Please call us if you’re running late.

Pickup

We text you when your pet is ready. Please pick up within one hour. After that, a late pickup fee of $15 per half hour may apply, and pets not collected by closing time may be taken to a local boarding facility at your cost.

Prices

Prices on our website are per pet. Dog services are priced by weight; we weigh every dog at drop-off and confirm the price before we start. A “+” marks a starting price. Payment is due at pickup by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash.

Matted coats

We work out light tangles at no charge. Dematting is charged at $20 per 15 minutes. If matting is too tight to brush out without pain, we will call you and recommend a short clip instead. Mats can hide skin problems, which may become visible after clipping.

Fleas and ticks

If we find fleas, we will give your pet a flea bath ($15) to protect the other pets in the salon, and let you know so you can treat your home and your pet.

Senior pets and health conditions

Grooming can be tiring for senior pets and those with health conditions. Please tell us about any medical issues when you book. We take extra care and breaks, but grooming may reveal or aggravate existing conditions, and we may ask for your vet’s approval first.

Behavior and safety

Please tell us if your pet has ever bitten or been anxious at the groomer. We never sedate pets. If a pet becomes too stressed, or is a danger to itself or our team, we will stop the groom, call you to collect them, and charge only for the work done. A muzzle may be used briefly for safety.

Emergencies

If your pet becomes ill or injured while in our care, we will contact you right away. If we can’t reach you, we will take your pet to the nearest veterinary clinic, and you agree to cover the cost of that care.
