3

Bath, dry, comb

A gentle bath, towel and low-noise dry, then a full comb-out or lion cut.

4

Straight home

We call as soon as your cat is done, so they don’t wait around in an unfamiliar place.

Questions

Cat grooming FAQ

Do cats really need grooming?

Short-haired cats mostly groom themselves, but long-haired, senior and overweight cats often can’t reach everywhere and start to mat. Regular grooming also cuts down hairballs.

What is a lion cut?

A short clip on the body that leaves a full mane, boots and a tail tuft. It’s the kindest fix for a matted coat and keeps long-haired cats cool in summer.

Do you sedate cats?

Never. If a cat is too stressed to groom safely, we stop and talk to you about a shorter visit or grooming at your vet under their care.

Which vaccinations does my cat need?

Current rabies and FVRCP. Please email the record before your first visit.
