Puppy grooming
Great first grooms make relaxed dogs
Short, gentle visits that introduce your puppy to the tub, the dryer and the clippers, with plenty of treats and no rush at all.

Made for puppies
Their first visit sets the tone
Puppy-paced
Our puppy visits are booked with extra time, so we can stop for cuddles and treats whenever they’re needed.
Vaccines first
Puppies can visit from about 10 weeks, after their second round of DHPP and their Bordetella vaccine.
Little and often
A short visit every four weeks until the first full haircut builds confidence faster than one big groom.

Homework
Five minutes a day makes grooming easy for life
Puppies who are handled gently at home take to the salon much faster. Try these between visits.
- Touch paws, ears and muzzle for a few seconds, then treat
- Brush for a minute or two with a soft brush
- Let them hear a buzzing electric toothbrush nearby
- Practice standing still on a non-slip mat up high
- Keep goodbyes at drop-off short and cheerful
Questions
Puppy grooming FAQ
How old does my puppy need to be?
About 10 to 12 weeks, once they’ve had their second round of puppy shots. Please email or bring the vet record.
When does my puppy need a first haircut?
Breeds with growing coats, like doodles and poodles, usually need a first trim between four and eight months. Intro visits before that make it much easier.
Can I stay with my puppy?
Most puppies settle faster once their owner has left, so we suggest a short, cheerful goodbye. We’ll text you a photo halfway through.
What if my puppy gets scared?
We slow down, offer treats and skip anything that’s too much today. There’s always next visit; a happy puppy matters more than a finished trim.
Ready for a fresh, fluffy pup?
